1.4-5.2010 Artist Statements, final Exams & Revisions

Warm Up - 10 min
QOTD:
What were you proud of during exhibition?
What was something you would have liked to have changed?
POTD

Part 1: final exam update - 5 min
Students will receive instructions on final exam content and receive study materials.
Intro to final exam questions / study guide (not all questions on final)

Part 2: looking for proficiency - 15 min
1. Review The Technique Rubric and the peer review sheet - these are the basis for your project grade
2. Look at an example of proficient. No need to look at a non-proficient.

Part 3: the artist statement - 70 min
students will use class time to prepare their first draft of their artist statement for their creative expression artifacts.

Use the prompts to compose a 5 paragraph artist statement based on your exhibition piece. Even students who aren’t finished or did not present will be graded on this assignment.

Post to your blog when done (full credit if done by Wednesday morning before class, half-credit if done by Thursday before class, no credit afterwards). Peer review exchange next class (Wednesday).
